Munawar Shah Bahdari
Son of Haji Mohammad Kabir, Bahdari is born in 1967 in the Shindand District of Herat province. He received his bachelor degree from the Air force University of Kabul in 1984. He earned his master degree in Law and Political Science (with a specialization in International Relations) from Azad University, Iran, in 2010. After receiving his bachelor degree, Bahaduri worked as an engineer in Kandahar (airfield), Farah, Heart, and Nimroz. He is a businessman and has owned and served as director for a series of companies. He established his first Wahid Omari Sab Dawari Company in 1997 and his second manufacturing Pamir Cola company in 2004.

Khalil Ahmad Shahed Zada
Haji Khalil Ahmad Shahed Zada is born in 1971 in Obeh District, Herat Province, ShahedZada speaks Pashto, Dari, and Arabic. ShahedZada studied up to sixth class at the Jami High School in Herat, and later graduated from Amir UlMuminen High School in Iran in 2004. Shahed Zada was the head of both the development council and the peace council of Obeh District in 2006 to 2010. He was the director of communications for the Peer Herat Charitable Foundation- a charity registered with the Ministry of Justice since 2001. ShahedZada is mostly served in the cultural and social sector.

Alhaj Rahima
Jami
Jami is the daughter of Khuja Zinudeen is born in 1973 in the Injeal District of Herat Province. Jami speaks Dari, Pashto, and to some extent English as well. Jami graduated from Meri High School in Herat, and later from the Herat Teacher Training Institute. She is currently a fourth-year student at the Law Faculty of Kabul University. During the war, Jami spent time in Iran. After the Taliban regime, Jami served as the principal of Meri High School in Herat province from 2002-2005, which has over 18,000 students. Jami was elected to parliament in 2005 and she participated in the Emergency Loya Jirga in 2002.

Ghulam Farooq Majrooh
Ghulam Farooq Majrooh is the son of Ghulam Sideq. He is born in 1955 in Injeal District of Herat Province. Majrooh speaks Dari and Pashto. Majrooh graduated with a 12th class certificate from Dar-e Ulom High School, Herat. Majrooh has vast experience in working with different offices of the government. From 1992 to the 1995, he served as chief of the Sixth Police Department in Heart, the chief of military security in the 17th Police Department in Heart from 2001 to 2004. From 2006 to 2010, he held the position of governor of Gulran District. Majrooh has been affiliated with Hezb-e-Jamiat Islami Afghanistan in the past but currently he is known as independent.

Dr. Muhammad Salih Saljoqi
Dr. Muhammad Salih Saljoqi is son of Haji Abdul Wahid, Saljoqi is born in 1963 in Herat Province. His mother language is Dari but he speaks English. Saljoqi graduated from Jami High School in Herat in 1979. He then studied for two years at the engineering faculty at Kabul University, till 1981. He immigrated to Iran from 1981 to 1991, however, he joined Herat University’s Medical Faculty and graduated with a bachelor degree in 1999 after returning from Iran. Saljoqi was a member of the Herat Specialists’ Council since 2002. Before the elections in 2005, Saljoqi was a lecturer of the Medical Faculty of the Physiology Department in Herat University, and is still a member of the university’s academic cadre.
Muhammad Raza Khushak
Muhammad Raza Khushak Watan Dost is the son of Didar Ali, and is born in 1977 in Daikundi Province. His mother language is Dari but he speaks English and Russian. Watan Dost graduated from Shahed Mudaris High School in Iran in 1998. Currently, he is studying Political Science at Ibn-e-Sina Private University in Kabul. Watan Dost was a prominent businessman in Herat. After completing his education, Watan Dost worked in the import/export business until 2006, when he started working with the investments in Afghan mines as the manager of Herat Province’s Sabzak Mine.

Masuda
Karkhi
Karkhi was born in 1959 in Karokh District of Herat Province. Karkhi graduated from the National High School of Herat. She continued her education at the Teacher Training Institute of Herat Province, and graduated with a degree in Biology and Chemistry in 1978. She worked with the National Participation Council of Afghanistan as head of the Women’s Commission and the Women’s Development Center where she participated in a one-year leadership internship in 2009. She discharged her duties as a teacher at the Gawhar Shad High School of Herat province from 1986-2005. She has also been a member of the Executive Committee of the Department for Women’s Affairs in Herat.
Ustad Najla Dahqan Nazhad
Ustad Najla Dahqan Nazhad is born in 1962 in the fifth District of Herat city. She speaks Dari. Nazhad studied up to 7th class at Zarghona High School in Kabul while later graduated from Miri High School in Herat in 1975. She has a bachelor degree in Political Science from Herat University. Nazhad was the head of the Afghan Women’s Association in Torbat-e Jam, Iran, for years. She has connections with women’s organizations and human rights NGOs in Herat. She was a member of the Women’s Council of Herat in 2003 as well as a member of the Women’s Invitation Council in 2005.

Abdul Hadi Jamshedi
Jamshedi is born in 1961 in RubatSangi District of western Herat. His mother language is Dari but he speaks Pashto fluently. Jamshedi completed his early education at the Char Dara School, RubatSangi District in 1977. He later went to the Rahman Baba High School of Kabul. After that, he immigrated to Iran and stayed there or 12-long years till 1993. In 2008, he received his 12th class certificate in Islamic studies. Jamshedi was elected to the 2005 parliament and he was selected as a representative to the Emergency Loya Jirga from Herat Province in 2002. He was representative of the Afghanistan Constitutional Loya Jirga in 2003.

Nisar Ahmad Faizi Ghoryani
Haji Nisar Ahmad Faizi Ghoryani is born in 1961 in Ghuryan District, Herat Province. He speaks Dari and English. Ghoryani graduated from Dawat High school in Pakistan in 1985.Ghoryani is a former Mujahideen commander. He joined the Mujahideen forces in Herat in 1987 and became an advisor to Ismail Khan. He later immigrated to the United States. Ghoryani is also a businessman, and had a US-based business exporting carpets from Afghanistan from 1992-1996. He is the manager of the Liberty Corporation Electric Company in Herat.

Haji Muhammad Arif Tayeb
Haji Muhammad Arif Tayeb is son o Haji Wakel Aqa Mohammad, Tayeb is born in a religious family in 1963 in the Gulran District of Herat Province. He grew up in Qarabagh District. He speaks Dari. Tayeb immigrated to Iran when he was in the 8th class. He attended his 12th class certificate from Sultan Gheyasuddin Ghori High School in Herat in 1988, and then earned his 14th class certificate from the Herat Teacher Training Institute in 1990. He is currently studying Law and Political Science at Kateb University in Kabul, and is in his fourth year of the programme. During the transitional government, Tayeb participated in the Emergency Loya Jirga for Gulran District.

Ahmad Farhad Majedi
Ahmad Farhad Majedi is the son of Abdul Qodos, and is born in 1974 in the sixth District of Herat city. Majedi’s mother language is Dari but he speaks English, Russian, and German. Majedi completed his primary studies in Herat Province, and then graduated from the Istiqlal High School, Kabul. Majedi started working as a businessman and is a prominent entrepreneur in Herat city. In 1998, he became the Chairman of the family-owned Majedi Group of trading companies. In 2005, he became the head of the Herat Chairmen’s Association.

Ahmad
Bihzad
Ahmad Bihzad son of Muhammad Nasir, is born in 1974 in Herat city. Bihzad completed his 14th class in Human Science. He speaks Dari. Since his schooling, Bihzad continued to participate in political and cultural activities inside and outside the country. Bihzad was formerly a journalist for Azadi Radio. Bihzad won a seat in the 2005 parliamentary elections. Bihzad was once affiliated with Hezb-e Wahdat Islami Mardom, led by Mohaqiq, but is now an independent member of parliament elected early 2011. He was elected as Second Deputy Speaker of the House.

Nazir Ahmad Hanafi
Hanafi, son of Mullah Tajuddin, is born in 1959 in the Guzarah District of Herat Province. Hanafi completed his primary education at the Fatah School in Herat in 1972 and his secondary education at the Jami Sharif Islamic Madrasa in Herat, in 1979. He went on to continue his studies in Islamic Sharia, Law, and Political Science studies that are equivalent to PhD in this field. Hanafi is a member of a religious council. Hanafi was the head of the Department of Justice in the Southwestern Zone from 1982 to 1991. He was a commander in Rabbani's Hezb-e-Jamiat Islami Afghanistan from 1992 to1996. He held the position of governor of Guzara District from 1992 to 1995.

Nahed Ahmadi Farid
Nahed Ahmadi Farid is daughter o Muhammad Ibrahim, Farid is born in 1985 in Herat city. Farid’s mother language is Dari but speaks Pashto, English, and German. She earned her bachelor degree in Law and Politics from Herat University in 2007. She has a master degree in International Relations from George Washington University, Washington, DC, in 2010. She has taken a course in International Development and Development Management at Ruhr University, Germany. Besides her degrees, she has participated in various workshops and courses in Development Management, Political Management, Information Technology studies and Crisis Intervention studies.
Haji Ghulam Farooq Nazari
Haji Ghulam Farooq Nazari son of Shireen Dell is born in 1955 in the sixth district of Herat city. He speaks Pashto and Dari. Nazari earned his 12th class graduation from Jami High School in Herat province in 1974. After graduated from High School, he worked with his family’s import/ export business transporting fuel and construction materials between Afghanistan and Kashmir.
